Some people asked me what was my favourite GIT hosting ( since GIT is my main version control system ) and it was the simplest question in the hole world and now I'm here to share it with you :)
I use the free package but there are some pretty nice paid packages.
GitHub is the best one I've found until now. I've registered a month ago and I've found out that it's interface is very easy and very useful because it has some features that worth a look and it's usage is simple and clean with now huge command to enter in the shell.
Besides all the regular features that almost all the hosting companies have it has a "watch" feature that let's you "follow" ( using tweetlanguage ) projects or individual persons and have some sort of news feed that keeps you updated about it/him/her in your home directory.
It also let's you directly fork a project from withing the website to your account, which I think it's a fantastic feature.
It also has a message system and some other cool features that I'll let you check them yourself.
The hosting and pricing is excellent. If you don't want to pay ( like me ) go for the free plan and have unlimited repositories for your projects.
The other reason that made me use GitHub is the fact that many big and open-source projects are hosted in this website like e-Text Editor ( which became open-source recently ) and Rails it self.
Fantastic no? Give it a try!

SUSE Studio
There are tons and tons of Linux distributions these days such as Fedora, Ubuntu, FreeBSD...
If you're a power user or an IT specialist you surely have tried a Linux distro even if it was just for a few days. If you're a regular user, I'm sure you've eared or saw "Linux" written in some website and went to Google to search for it and after some time you ended up taking the conclusion that it was just another OS like Windows or MAC OS.
Anyway, if you're like me you've probably tried around 20 distros and found out that you like some very much but you think that they weren't "made for you".
Make you own? No way! Yes, I'm a programmer, but I'm not skilled enough to play with the Kernel it self.
So, I found out about SUSE Studio ( SUSE is an enterprise class Linux distro ), a website where you can create a derivative of SUSE it self that fits your tastes.
You can add and remove packages, change the GUI, pre-install third party applications... and after you're happy with it you can compile it to an .iso image and save it to a CD, DVD or a flashstick to easily install it on a computer.
The website is still in Beta but you can sign up and try your luck. You'll probably only get the invite in a few months since many peaple have already registred but, it doesn't hurt to try!
Twitter - DM Whacker
One of the biggest problems of Twitter is... the people!
I'm not saying this in the bad way! They try to be nice, but it usually turns boring and repetitive.
Today's auto-follow services bring a function to automatically send a message to everyone who follows you, and people love to use it!
Some just don't care and let the their Direct Message inbox get cluttered with "welcome" and "thank you" messages. But others ( like me ) like to keep the DM service to important and "direct" things.
Sometimes when I go check my Twitter account and I see that I have 197 DM's of course I won't delete them all!
So what do I do? After I get piles of DM's I use DM Whacker!
As the name says this bookmarklet is used to whack the messages in your inbox just by a press of a button.
Just drag the bookmarklet to your bookmarks toolbar and when you're in your Direct Message inbox click it, there will appear a side bar with all the functions you need. You can even delete only the ones that have a determined text!
It's a very useful and nice service, you have to try it!

PSP Hard Drive Problem
Today I was copying a movie to my PSP when I saw a very strange problem.
I was deleting a few images to make room for the movie and after I deleted them all ( this was all on my MAC ) I noticed that the occupied hard drive was still the same! So I started deleting all the pictures and when it was fully empty, the hard drive was still the same!
After I searched for a while a link drove me to the Ubuntu Forums where one person was having the same problem.
After a few replies a guy suggested to clean the trash of the Linux OS it self and has you all know the MAC OS core is the same has Linux ( the Kernel )
So, I cleaned the trash can and for my surprise now the hard drive space was correct!
It is very strange, why and how the heck would the PSP start searching for files in the computer and then start treating them as it's own?
Well, don't ask me! Anyway, that's the solution.
This does only happen in MAC and Linux's, Windows is completely fine. The best solution too solve this issue is to find some sort of PSP Manager application.
Bespin 0.2 is here!
In this video, Kevin Dangoor presents us with the new version of Bespin ( this one took a while to come out. )
The main feature is the version control system integration.

Is FriendFeed becoming Twitter? Is Facebook becoming FriendFeed? Is.. WTF?
I was seeing this post a bit while a go which has the title "You Will Be Using FriendFeed In The Future — But It May Be Called Facebook" and I found it quite interesting, you should give it a read.
I use FriendFeed a lot and I didn't know that there was a beta version. Visually and functionally it's great but who didn't notice that it looks surprisingly just like Twitter!
The menus are in the same place, and some parts look exacly the same!
The main thought in that all the social media websites are becoming just the same! In some years well have some sort of giant social media website called Friendbooktwitidentdel.usholixlikes and everyone will be in it ( well, it can't be that bad, it would make my life easier... ).
iPhone or xBox 360?
My birthday is coming on the 6th May! ( YAYAYYYYYYYY! )
I have a small problem to solve until then and I won't stop thinking about it until it's solved ( which becomes another problem ).
The problem is: What should I ask for my birthday? An iPhone 3G or an xBox 360?
Sometimes I'm sure I'll get an iPhone because it's from Apple and it's an fantastic alternative for the regular Windows Mobile. But when I read my gaming magazine and I see a new game coming for the xBox I just go nuts!
Anyway, the price counts as well, here in Portugal, an xBox 360 Elite System with 120 GB costs 400€ and the iPhone 3G with 16 GB from Vodafone cots some astonishing 600€ which makes me join the dark side ( well, the xbox side! ).
The other thing that I'd like to mention is the fact that the T-Mobile G1 hasn't come to Portugal yet and when it comes it will surely be cheaper and I'll surely want it which gives the xbox another point.
But when I think of the iPhone... omg I'm so unsure!
Please, help me to decide by leaving a comment with your reasons to get an xBox or an iPhone.

Too much help?
Remember the good old times when computer power users were rare and each single command had to be entered in a black and white shell which was very complicated? Those were good times!
After some years, the GUI's appeared and there was a revolution in the tech world, more people were able to use computers and more developers were created even more fantastic applications.
I'm talking about GUI's because since that time every single problem has been "script kiddie" like. And I don't mean that in the bad way! Oh, no! What would become of me without the "visual" itself! Anyway, people these days use MAC's or PC's, some also use Linux ( which today is also completed with nice GUI's ) but who uses the command line tools? Only the developers and the enterprise guys! All the functions are there! There's no need to use shells.
This was just an example. Like the topic says, I think people are getting too much help. There are websites that explain how to use an e-mail! Who doesn't know how to send an e-mail? I agree that the generation that came before ours should get help to enter the technology world but the XXI century's generation? I don't think so.
People every single day ask me how to do this and how to create that and I just yell at them: STFW ( Search The F***ing Web )! Some of them don't even know how to perform a correct search on Google! When I got my first computer I couldn't ask my Dad how to create a folder using the shell ( which turned out to be simple ) , I had to search, a lot!
Everyone just wants everything done. That's not the way people lean, they have to get the information themselves and can't rely on anyone. My intention is not to call that guy who asked me how to do "x" thing an ignorant, just to... buff... share an thought...
From GIT to Eclipse
In this post I'll be explaning how to import the projects that you've stored in any GIT repository to Eclipse Ganymede with one plugin
