If you want an easy and free solution to create and manage an Apache an a MySQL database MAMP is the program for you!
It allows you to have Apache and MySQL just a click away! After you install MAMP both of the services will be setup without you even notice!
It has a nice interface and an easy configuration and it also brings a web interface that has phpMyAdmin and SQLiteManager already installed.
If you wish to have more features you can upgrade to MAMP Pro that allows you to have full control over Apache, MySQL and even DynDNS.
I know I look like I've been paid to say this ( lol ), but I haven't, is that this peace of software is just great, it saved me precious time that I would waste setting up the services.
